EPIC Gunners Win FCYSL Spring Tournament

The Eastern Panhandle Inter-County Soccer Club U-10 Gunners went undefeated in the Frederick County Youth Soccer League’s spring tournament over the weekend of June 5th and 6th.  Playing in the first division they defeated teams from Middletown (MSC Bromwell), Tri-County (TCSC Lightning-Burton/Brock), Frederick FC (FCF Mittereder), and drew against Hagerstown YMCA (HYMCA Barnhart) to earn themselves a place in Sunday’s championship game against the team from Linganore-Urbana (LUYAA United-Cunha).

The final was delayed due to thunderstorms but that didn’t dampen the boys resolve to bring home the championship.  The Gunners once again showed their defensive mettle and prevailed by a score of 1-0.  The weekend showed an impressive display of defense and ball control as the team allowed only 1 goal against them in 5 games.
